A Better Property Management Co., Inc. was established to manage residential income property. Our success is in the detail and your bottom line. The name, A Better Property Management Co., Inc. has set the standard for our staff to follow. We work to be better informed, to produce better tenant relations—to be the best at what we do. ABPMCO.Inc. is constantly trying to surpass our name. It is a challenge that we look forward to every day.

The Organization…

A Better Property Management Co, Inc. has a team of professional staff members and onsite managers that can be equated with excellence in customer service, professionalism, and ethical business conduct.

Steven Moffett, the broker, is the financial controller and supervises each property’s financial transaction. Steve earned his degree in Finance at CSULB. He is a past member of Kiwanis and was Commodore of Alamitos Bay Yacht Club. In his spare time, he cruises his Jenneaux 45.2 and races sailboats in big boat regattas to Hawaii and Mexico.

Rebecca Reid Moffett is the supervisor of office procedures and protocol. Rebecca is a past President of the Apartment Association, CA Southern Cities and is currently a Director Emeritus. She has served on most committees at the association, has taught management seminars, has been a guest speaker at association events, and has been an expert witness in court for landlords. Rebecca taught sailing while earning her degree in East European History at CSULB. Her 5th year was spent studying Real Estate Management.

Maintenance desk…

The maintenance supervisor works closely with all the vendors to ensure that every repair or replacement is done with quality work at the lowest price to the client. Many of the vendors we use have worked with us for over 27 years. They know personally the properties we manage and take extra care with their work. In addition to periodic exterior inspections, annual walkthroughs are performed at each property to check smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, plumbing leaks, and recently, mildew, as this has become a 'hot topic' among tenants.

Rental desk…

The leasing agent spends time with every prospective tenant to help them find the apartment or home that will fit their financial needs. The receptionist, working in tandem, is on the frontline all day long and has a smile for everyone who calls or visits the office. Friendliness and personal service are one of our trademarks.

Managers…

Apartment managers are a huge component of the teamwork machine. The managers represent our company while they are performing their tasks at the building they manage. We hire managers that are friendly, courteous and want to give 150% to the care of your building while keeping the residents happy.

Marketing and Exposure…

Getting your house or apartment filled with residents is our primary goal and getting the word out is the only way to do that. Advertising must be simple, direct, and appear in many forms to be effective. We advertise your rental via newspapers, signage, rental lists, the internet, and fliers.
