A Better Property Management Co., Inc., was established in 1979 in order to offer superior management services to the individual residential investor as well as to the larger investment groups. We manage apartment buildings, houses and condominiums in the Long Beach and West Orange County area.

We were founded on the principal of offering quality property management. We tailor our management to each individual investor and property. 

A Better Property Management Co., Inc., is comprised of many team players. The maintenance desk and vendors work closely together to ensure that every repair or replacement is done with quality work at the lowest price to the client. One of our plumbers, “the plumber to the stars,” has worked on our client’s buildings for 20 years, and one of our painters has painted apartments for 18 years. Our vendors get to know our client’s property and take extra care with their work.

The rental desk spends time with every prospective tenant to help the tenant find the apartment that will fit his or her financial need. The receptionist is on the frontline all day long and has a smile for everyone who comes in. Friendliness and personal service is one of our biggest trademarks.

Marketing  your unit or house  is a significant part of management.  Advertising must be simple, direct, and appear in many forms to be effective. We advertise your rental via newspapers, signage, rental lists, internet, i.e. craigs list and fliers.

Apartment managers are also a part of the teamwork system. The managers represent our company while they are performing their tasks at the building they manage. We hire managers that are friendly and courteous and want to give 150% to the care of your building while attending to the tenant’s needs.   

A key to managing apartment buildings efficiently and effectively is to drive by and walk around the buildings and houses often. Annual walkthrus are done on each property to check the smoke detectors and to make sure there are no plumbing leaks or drips. We have recently incorporated checking for mildew, as this is the newest "hot point" with tenants.

Our name, A Better Property Management Co., Inc., has set the standard for our staff to follow.  The staff works to be better informed, to produce better tenant relations; to be the best at what we do. ABPMCO,INC is constantly trying to keep up with our name. It is a challenge that we look forward to and try to meet everyday.

We are centrally located in Long Beach at the Marketplace Office Park.  Our office is open 5 days a week for your convenience.
